Jess Jones
Research Assistant
Jess Jones has been with the team since 2023, her work ranging from EPR to landscape assessments. Her specialty is forest ecosystems and community conservation. She brings experience from the Nature Conservancy and various community projects. A graduate of Georgia State University and Yale School of the Environment, she earned a bachelors in Environmental Science and a Masters of Environmental Management respectively from these institutions. Currently based in Bahia, Brasil where she recently wrapped up a Fulbright in diasporic forest restoration, she will be beginning her PhD in fall 2026 at the University of California, Berkeley. She enjoys making art, foraging, and planting trees.
